Our Farming Ethos
Here at Rotmell we farm for the future. By using regenerative farming techniques, we aim to build diversity within our landscape and become attuned to our natural environment.
We believe in starting from the ground up. Soil health is key to creating the absolute linkage between the total nutrient cycle and red meat production.
At Rotmell Farm, we effectively convert solar energy into red meat. Through providing our animals with a high nutritional plant, we mirror this value in our red meat.
We believe the future of red meat has never been greener.
- ALEX BREWSTER, COMPANY PARTNER & SOIL FARMER OF THE YEAR 2020
On a hillside, above Dunkeld in Highland Perthshire, you'll find a mob of 180 Aberdeen Angus cows doing their part to save the planet, the regenerative farming way.
We believe they are the unsung heroes of the 21st Century and we want to shout from the rooftops about just how great they are!
We know talking the sustainable talk is one thing, that's why we can assure you that we walk the walk, quite literally through tall green regenerative pastures.
At Rotmell Farm we believe that bringing back a natural harmony between the animal and the soil is the key for carbon sequestration. Allowing our pastures to rest and recover helps build soil health and plant diversity, which in turn helps save our planet.
